We apply a values based whole system approach to culture change.
What is culture? A simple way of explaining culture is that it is the personality of the group – ‘the way we do things here’.
How do you measure culture? We partner with Richard Barrett & Associates who have developed excellent tools for measuring organisational and team culture.
The framework for whole system change can be divided into two major stages. Stage one is preparation and stage two is implementation.
The Preparation Stage.
Phase 1A – Cultural Transformation Tools Values Assessment.
The first step in the whole system change preparation phase is to carry out a company wide values assessment to identify your employee’s personal values, their perception of current culture values and their desired culture values. This is the base line measurement.
Phase 1B – Business Assessment.
It is also important to include the business case for change as well as the cultural case for change as the two are intimately linked.
The Implementation Stage.
Phase 2 – Create the vision and mission.
This gives direction to the change of process.
Phase 3 – Choose values and select behaviours.
